L-e-s-s can provide advice to architects or building managers on means to achieve energy reductions in building refurbishment. A fundamental objective is to achieve this by increasing building user satisfaction by paying attention to user requirements. A number of useful guides to auditing methods are presented here. These are largely resources which have been developed over the past few years for teaching environmental auditing at Oxford Brookes University, School of Architecture.
